EIGHT Things You Should Keep in Mind If You Want to Get Your Ex
by Emma Audley
One thing that ends, leaves room for another to
begin. Sometimes, couples break up just to realize they love each other even more. Sometimes their love fades in
time while other people take over the empty spaces in their hearts. If your love is strong enough, there are a few
things you can do to get your ex back.
I am going to tell you eight of them and I am
going to be punctual so you keep them in mind before you make any mistakes that could cost you the loss of your
lover for good.
So here they are:
1. The first and most important rule is to stay
away from your ex after you broke up; do not try to contact your ex by any means. Your ex needs time to realize how
much they really miss you. Leave it to that and wait for your ex to make the first step.
2. After the waiting time, comes the moment of
truth. If your ex still loves you, THAT call will be inevitable. So don't start with "what took you so long?!"
instead of a warm "hello". Take a deep breath and swallow your frustration. It is a rough word, but I'd better say
it before you tell it you your ex. If you want to get your ex back, act happy and give him/her reasons to call
3. Be reasonable and responsible about
everything that has gone bad in your relationship. Don't wait for your ex to find excuses for you, especially if
you got yourself a proud lover; that will NEVER happen! Don't throw all the blame on your ex either. Pointing
fingers and looking for arguments is obviously not a good way to get
your ex back.
4. Better not to speak about the relationship at
all. Let bygones be bygones and move on with your lives, wherever that may take you. Don't act desperate: let your
ex be the first one to initiate a discussion about a possible get together again. After all, your ex was the one to
make THAT call, right?
5. Control your anger. Act as if nothing
happened. I know it sounds like the biggest hypocrisy, and even if you think of trying it, you'd also think you'd
fail, but, trust me, you'll never get your ex back if you let remorse and anger get you. Your ex should see a
change in you and it better be a good one.
6. Don't ask too much. Be patient; putting
pressure on your ex or willing to move back together all of a sudden will only bring you more trouble in getting
your ex back. Give your ex the necessary space and time to really want that again.
7. Things can't change over night. You need to
understand the fact that making your ex fall in love with you again takes time, patience and understanding. You
need to be prepared to give all that to your ex lover. As time goes by, you also need to do some serious thinking
about the course of that relationship.
8. Give your ex all the freedom in the world! No
strings attached. Chasing your loved one will push them further away from you like two magnets with the same
polarity. Don't send any gifts, or sweets, or cards, or anything that could be overwhelming. Think of your ex as if
he/she was a totally new and different person. Don't scare him/her away by being possessive and overwhelming. Just
wait for the right moments to call back.
As you can see, there still
is hope, but you need to use caution and patience.... getting your ex back is a fragile
